Sew She Can Crazy Quilt Block Sew Along

SewCanShe is hosting another Sew Along and the theme for this one is Crazy Quilt Blocks.  I have had the following blocks in my stash for a few years, just waiting for the right project.

I was going to make a big quilt but I just did not have much time, I did make 4 more blocks so I could whip up two things to enter.  I put together a wall quilt and a tote bag and I finished them just in the nick of time as the deadline for submission is Saturday the 18th of May.

I made a wall quilt that is 19" x 25",  it reminds me of how the farm fields look from in the sky.  I did some Free Motion Quilting (FMQ) circles around the frame and just random lines across the orange.

My tote bag turned out really cute, maybe a bit bold for me. I wanted to get away from a square block to I used my 60 degree ruler and trimmed the square down.  I think it makes an interesting shape and paired with Kona Eggplant it really pops.   I ran out of Kona Eggplant and could not find any locally so I had to use what was in my stash so went with polka dots.

Not sure if I will win but I like just entering you never know what the judges are going to like.  Wish me luck.

Thank you for stopping by.

Cheers,
Abby
