Skill Builder Blocks: Pixelate and Phoenix

Worked on catching up on my Skill Builder Blocks today, I completed Pixelate and Phoenix.

Both of these blocks used Pellon 820 Quilters Grid which is just wonderful.  I am not sure why I have not used this stuff before.  It really made these blocks come together so fast.

The Phoenix block also used Half Square Triangle 1.5" (finished) Triangles on a Roll.  Another awesome tool!  It really cut the piecing time. Now off to figure out how to FMQ these up. I center square was really boring so I did a bit of improv on the block to try and break the area up by adding a  bit of yellow to the center of that area.  It did not turn out exactly as I hoped, should of made the addition a bit bigger.

I have done more then these but they are test quilts for Aria Lane, but wont be able to show those off just yet.  I think the pattern are being released at Quilt Market later this month.  Can't wait to show you all.

Linking up with Lily Quilts for Small Blog Meet today.  I love checking out all the other blogs.

Thank you for stopping by.
