Modern Morocco

At the beginning of March I tested Aira Lane's newest pattern Modern Morocco designed by Tara Knight.  Curves are always the worst to sew so I think that is why I love testing patterns as they push me out of my comfort zone.  Eventually I hope my curves will come out perfect but I am not there yet.

I tested the wall hanging size and used part of my bundle of Oakshotts that I won last year.   I paired it with some Essex Linen dyed Black.

Aria Lane pattern always have a coordinating back for each quilt.

This one measures 36.5" x 36.5".  Not sure how I am going to quilt this one up yet so will just have to add it to the stack till I decide.   This pattern went together very nicely and the cures are not really that bad.  This pattern will work with prints to, here is my sample block that I made when I first got the pattern.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting.

  2. Sorry about the deleted comment - it showed up twice, so I tried to delete one and it took both comments off! Anyway...I can't wait to see how you quilt it. I have fallen in love with drunkard's path blocks - they are so versatile!
