Faster Fourteen Pattern Review

Well 2014 is coming to a end and I still have a few projects that I have not shared with you.  So today I want to share with you a pattern by Sam Hunter at Hunter's Design Studios called Faster Fourteen.  I tested this pattern for Sam back in September and it was released at Quilt Market in October.

This pattern is very beginner friendly and goes together very quickly.  I used fat quarters from my local quilt shop Park Bench Quilt Shop to make this top since my stash was in boxes and just did not have the energy to dig fabric out.  Well that is my excuse anyway anything to be able to go fabric shopping :)

I used Modern Elements mixed with Toscana both designed by Deborah Edwards for Northcott Fabrics.

The pattern says the size is 54" x 68", mine is still on a boat to Australia so I can not confirm what mine ended up.  I want to try this pattern again but with black and white but I think it could be tricky if you don't have enough mix in scale to give the top some dimension.  Could be a good challenge for the new year.

If you would like to make your own you can purchase the pattern from Sam either at Craftsy or Patternspot.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting.
